May 2017: In ceremony at Buckingham Palace, Wintour was created a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II for her contributions to fashion and journalism.
May 20, 2020: ​Vogue editor Anna Wintour says coronavirus has been ‘catastrophic’ for the fashion industry: "I think it’s really giving the industry a pause,” Wintour said on CNBC’s “Closing Bell.” “I think everybody is rethinking what the fashion industry stands for, what it means, what it should be. ....And I think it’s an opportunity for everybody to slow down, produce less, and really make the world over fall in love with the creativity and passion of fashion.....And maybe have a little bit less of an emphasis on things moving so quickly and an emphasis always on what’s new.” 
December 15, 2020: Condé Nast promoted Wintour to the role of chief content officer, worldwide, as part of a restructuring the company unveiled. In addition, she will be working as global editorial director of Vogue.
