"Stupid is like, uh, Frederick Douglass is alive. Or, uh, the stealth bomber is literally invisible. Um, or nobody knew health care was hard to solve. That's just stupid. He's very stupid...........Crazy, is like, it's important that the crowd at my inauguration was the biggest ever and I'm going to make an issue of this for the first two weeks of my presidency despite photographic evidence to the contrary. Or I'm going to steal these documents that I don't even know what they are and I don't care and I'm going to put them next to the toilet at Mar-a-Lago and then I'm going to fight you to take them back, or not conceding the election. Those things are crazy...........Or thinking I can somehow charm Kim Jong Un in Korea, although that might be stupid, sometimes it crosses the line between both. But he's both stupid and crazy. And he's a criminal...""[Trump's] charged with actual crimes..............Criminal intent to obscure, uh, to, uh I forget what the actual name of the, uh, law is, but criminal intent to basically steal the election or to coerce people in the states from, umm, I forget what it is. And then there's one-uh forgery, which is - has to do with the electoral scheme. Uh, criminal intent... That's that's the slate of electors, he was putting forward the fake slate of electors. Trump tried every possible way to steal this election. He tried to do it through the courts. He tried to do it through state legislatures. He tried to do it through intimidating Mike Pence. He tried to do it through the justice department. They talked about seizing voting machines. They talked about the using the army. I mean, you can't really believe that this guy is not worse than Joe Biden............I mean, I agree, Biden is not a great president.............And the Hunter Biden stuff is a stinky conspiracy. It's not a conspiracy, it's a stinky scandal that stinks to the high heavens. If you think that that in any way compares to what Trump tried to do. You just cannot tell unlike things apart."

Jason Easley (Politicus USA) has claimed that Bill "I'm only a comedian so you cant hold me responsible for everything I say" Maher "slaughtered" Ronald Reagan. Slaughtered? Well, for one, Reagan is already dead. Hard to "slaughter" a man who is already dead. For two, the main gist of Mahers comments was using todays Republican party as an antithesis of Reagan's Republican party. Maher implied that todays GOP would not like Reagans GOP and Maher considered that notion a slam dunk. But, Maher's comments aren't a slam dunk as much as it is just a fact. Reagan was too conservative for todays Republican party. Thats why they keep nominating people like John McCain and Mitt Romney.and wonder why they dont get the support of conservatives...............

In January, Bill Maher said on NBC to Jay Leno that he would pay $5 million to Trump’s charity of choice if he provided a birth certificate proving that he’s not “spawn of his mother having sex with orangutan.” It was similar to an offer Trump made to President Barack Obama during the presidential campaign season, in which Trump wanted Obama to release his college records. “He promised me $5 million for charity if I provided certain information,” Trump said on Fox News’s “Fox & Friends.” “Well I provided the information. He didn’t pay. So today I sue Bill Maher for $5 million for charity.”
Liberal comic Bill Maher responded to who he called a “rich idiot” Maher said that he wouldn’t fork over $5 million to charity for a late night talk show joke he made last month. “They seem to be trying to set a bold new precedent that jokes on late night talk shows are now legally binding agreements between the comedian and the person they’re making fun of,” Maher said on his show HBO’s “Real Time.” “The legal system in this country is not a joke — it’s not a toy for rich idiots to play with.” Not a joke? Of course not. However, Maher, as is usual of his cowardice, played his "Oh, but I am just a comedian" line. One used by people like Jon Stewart, Kathy Griffin, Sarah Silverman, Joy Behar and others...who wish to pontificate politics but then cry "fowl" ("Im just a comedian") if anyone suggests they own up to anything they spout verbally.
It would be GREAT if Trump would win this one, just to see Maher actually accept some responsibility for anything he says.....without crying "But..I am just a comedian." Can Trump win? Analysis by Eugene Volohk, in an article posted on "Opposing Views" suggests its not likely Too bad. These politically comedic idiots will likely continue to play with our political and legal system....then whine like politically comedic idiots do when asked to be accountable.

The topic came up after they talked about slavery, and Maher said people like former presidents should not be canceled for having slaves. “It’s 400 f–king years that we’ve dealt with this, and our country still has not taken responsibility or accountability,” Cranston said. The “Breaking Bad” actor said he believes critical race theory is “essential” to schools. Jan 17, 2023: Poynter: Opinion: A comedian in CNN prime time?

Feb 11, 2013: Opposing Views; Does Donald Trump Have Legal Grounds to Sue Bill Maher? ![]() June 26, 2013:
New CNN host, George Stroumboulopoulo, invited Bill "I'm Just a Comedian So You Can't Hold Me Accountable for Anything I say" Maher to do what he does best: Make jokes at the expense of issues he doesnt know anything about. Oh and he also defended a "socialist" American structure saying, "Every modern country is now a quasi-socialist country." He lists several "entitlements" as proof. Of course, he defends a way of life (living on entitlements) even though he is rich enough to not have to be restricted by such programs.................. ![]() ON THE RECORD: Jan 11, 2014: In a Q&A article for Canada's Globe and Mail, reporter Brad Wheeler asked Ted Nugent about Bill Maher: "Do you agree with Bill Maher (host of HBO’s Real Time With Bill Maher) that a lot of far-right loathing of President Obama is based on race and not his administration’s policies?" Ted's response is classic Ted: "Not even close. Maybe if I gobbled as much mind altering chemicals as ol‘ Billy, I would live in a goofy fantasy world too. Bill can’t cite any evidence to backup his nasty, last-ditch effort to avoid the real issues by playing the numbnut race card. Every criticism of President Obama that I am aware of is supported by irrefutable evidence that the guy is hellbent on destroying America and turning us into a suburb of Canada. Or is that Cuba? The depth of Obama’s evil has nothing to do with the colour of his skin, but wholly with the content of his character. Know that."
![]() Stupid On The Record: Jan 27, 2014: Josh Feldman (MediaIte) has a brief report "Maher Compares Bridgegate to Watergate: At Least Nixon Didn’t Use People as ‘Hostage Shields’" Putting most things Bill Maher says as Stupid On The Record" would be easy since he has the power to be insulting and then claim he's "just a comedian" when he is called out on it. At the same time, though, when he says something serious, he wants to be taken serious. Anyway, I am not real sure where this comment gets classified in his mind as an attempt to be funny or an attempt to be serious. Given his history though, it's serious if he gets away with it but it was just a joke if it bothers anyone. Bill Maher actually gives Nixon's Watergate a bit of a pass when he compares it to Bridgegate because, he says "that at least when Richard Nixon took vengeance on his political opponents, he didn’t “purposely inflict pain” or “use the people of America as hostage shields.” " Wow, so Maher is choosing breaking and entering, theft, perjury, bugging, and Nixon and his close aides ordered harassment of activist groups and political figures, using the FBI, CIA, and the Internal Revenue Service. (Hmm, that last sentence sounds familiar). It led to several public figures going to prison and the resignation of a sitting President, plus a destructive strike on the confidence of the American people in government. Bill "I'm Just a Comedian" Maher's comments were neither funny nor serious but they were stupid an stupid on the record.
![]() ON THE RECORD: Feb 22, 2014: Catharine Thompson (TPM) reported "Bill Maher Presses Maddow On Christie Coverage: 'It's Not Watergate' (VIDEO)" In it she reported of an exhange on Bill Maher's HBO show between Maher and guest MSNBC's Rachel Maddow. Besides Maher stupidly saying "Benghazi is nothing. There is no scandal there" (with nothing to back up that assertion except for the fact that President Obama said it wasn't a scandal), he had written an article earlier complaining about MSNBC's devotion to the Chris Christie "scandal" and then let Maddow and MSNBC off the hook by saying it was just a "tongue in cheek" article. This is whatI have repeatedly said I dislike about Bill "I'm Just a Comedian" Maher. He says whatever he wants and if there is the slightest hint that he will be held accountable, he says it was a joke and that he is just comedian. Disturbing since there are actually a large number of people who claim to get their "news" from Maher, Stephen Colbert or Jon Stewart (aka, the Three Stooges of the Left).
Red Alert Politics: Americans still think there’s more to learn about Benghazi – and want Congress to keep searching for the truth "Talking about the polarization in Washington ... I think maybe it's that the people are polarized and the politicians just reflect that. And I feel like the reason that people are so polarized is Fox News. I think of all the things that changed in America, Fox News changed the most." -Bill Maher Sept 2014 |
May 13, 2016: Maher and his friend Michael Moore announced on YouTube that they are going to make a movie called The Kings of Atheism.
February 2017: Maher interviewed Milo Yiannopoulos on Real Time regarding prior comments in which Yiannopolous seemed to express sympathy toward perpetrators of child sexual abuse. Although some fans and pundits initially criticized Maher for platforming the controversial pundit, ultimately the appearance brought more publicity to the comments and harmed Yiannopolous's career. In the days following the interview, Yiannopoulos had his invitation to speak before the 2017 Conservative Political Action Conference rescinded, as well as a book deal with Simon & Schuster cancelled. Yiannopoulos subsequently resigned as an editor at Breitbart News.
March 21, 2022: Maher launched a podcast titled Club Random, a series hosting one-on-one interviews with guests, recorded in his bar at home, where he discusses everything except politics
