Jan 18, 2023: New York Post: White House press corps rips ‘information blackout’ over Biden’s handling of classified docs
In one of the most contentious moments of the briefing, Gray Television’s Jon Decker noted that Biden eagerly weighed in on a similar Justice Department investigation involving the possible mishandling of records by his predecessor Donald Trump, whose Florida residence was raided by the FBI Aug. 8.
In a Sept. 18 interview with “60 Minutes,” Decker noted, “Biden chided former President Trump for having in his possession classified documents. He called it ‘irresponsible.'”

At one point in the briefing, Peter Doocy of Fox News asked, “After a special counsel was named, but before the FBI searched, President Biden went to his house in Wilmington. What was he doing in there?”
“I would refer you to the White House counsel,” Jean-Pierre replied.
Biden’s personal attorney Bob Bauer said in a Saturday statement that the FBI on Friday “took possession of materials it deemed within the scope of its inquiry, including six items consisting of documents with classification markings and surrounding materials, some of which were from the President’s service in the Senate and some of which were from his tenure as Vice President.”

Aug 29, 2022: New York Post: Don’t believe your eyes: WH claims migrants are not just ‘walking’ across border
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre insisted on Monday that migrants are not just “walking” across the border — an event captured near daily by press photographers.
The stunning answer came in response to a question by Fox News’ Peter Doocy, who asked why potentially unvaccinated migrants continue to arrive in the US but tennis star Novak Djokovic couldn’t compete in the US Open, which kicked off in Flushing Meadows, Queens today.
“It is not that simple. It’s not just that people are walking across the border. We have a plan in place. This is not like switching the lights on. This is going to take a process,” Jean-Pierre said about the thousands of migrants that are crossing into the US every week as she pivoted to criticize the former administration’s immigration policies.

Leonard Downie Jr., a former executive editor of The Washington Post, has an idea.
In a guest essay last week for The Post, Downie made the case that newsrooms must set aside journalistic objectivity because a new generation of journalists “believe that pursuing objectivity can lead to false balance or misleading ‘both-sides-ism.’” He added, “they feel it negates many of their own identities, life experiences and cultural contexts, keeping them from pursuing truth in their work.” He even claims that objectivity was never a standard he upheld, even though the principles he says were the goals he pursued as editor — “accuracy, fairness, nonpartisanship, accountability and the pursuit of truth” — are the same as those upheld by most objective journalists and little different from what he elsewhere says is the dictionary definition of objectivity — “using facts without distortion by personal beliefs, bias, feelings or prejudice.”

Mar 20, 2023: MediaIte: Dinesh D’Souza Claims Tucker Carlson Stopped Covering Jan. 6 Tapes Because Fox News Is Silencing Him
Dinesh D’Souza discussed Tucker Carlson’s recent coverage of video footage from the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol by supporters of former President Donald Trump, speculating that the reason Carlson hadn’t shown more was because he was being silenced by the top levels of management at Fox News.

Now let’s turn to Fox News. Tucker Carlson on day one released some clips and they were like, wow, look at all this stuff coming out about the shaman guy. Look at all this stuff about Josh Hawley jogging across the corridor. Look at all this stuff about Brian Sicknick and then — nothing.
The second day when we’re supposed, scheduled to be a day of more footage, nothing. And then you’re like, well, it takes time to go through the stuff, whatever, it’ll surely come out in the next day or the next day or the day after that, or this week. Nothing. And it looks like that’s it. It looks like the — I won’t say the fix is in, but I will — it looks like somebody dropped the hatchet on Tucker Carlson.
And I don’t know of any other way to look at this. I mean, obviously, one way to look at this is that Tucker reviewed the 40,000 hours of footage and realized that, you know what? By and large, I found just three clips and that’s it. That’s all I got. Tucker isn’t really saying.
But the other possibility, which I give it — this is the 99% possibility — is after the first day. And that’s remember, Chuck Schumer went on the Senate floor, “Rupert Murdoch, I demand that you stop Tucker Carlson.” And then guess what? Somebody stopped Tucker Carlson.
And who would have the power to do that? No, it’s not the, it’s not the, it’s not even Suzanne Scott, the CEO of Fox News. These are orders that are coming from above. And that would mean most likely either Lachlan Murdoch, the son of Rupert Murdoch, who is sort of the de facto guy that people at Fox report to — or Rupert Murdoch himself.
Rupert Murdoch, we know, is feuding with Trump. How do we know this? Because some very interestingly — and this all seem to happen simultaneously — all the organs under Rupert Murdoch’s control, of which I named three — the editorial page of The New York Post, the editorial page of The Wall Street Journal, and the Fox News Channel — all simultaneously turned against Trump. So it’s not as if you just have guys at these these outlets, they’ve all made independent decisions. No, again, this is a corporate decision from the highest level. -Dinesh D'Souza; Podcast 3.19.23
