Feb 13, 2015: Texas Leftist: Ted Cruz Attacks Marriage Equality, Same-Sex Spousal Benefits
According to David Badash at the New Civil Rights Movement, Cruz’s State Marriage Defense Act will also give anti-same-sex marriage states the right to nullify the marriages of same-sex couples living within their borders, should the Supreme Court find that such couples ultimately do not have the same right to marry as other U.S. citizens. May 7, 2014: New Civil Rights Movement: Local Iowa Editor: ‘The LGBTQXYZ Crowd And The Gaystapo’ Are ‘The Enemy’
That map you see above is a map of the state of Iowa. The little red dot is the tiny town of Newton. Population 15,254. A local Newton, Iowa newspaper editor wrote a lengthy religion-based piece on his personal blog (not the paper’s website) warning about what he sees as the gay community’s attempts to change the Bible. David Badash from the pro gay rights web site "New Civil Rights Movement" used the still unsubstantiated argument that "gay rights" is the same as "racism." :: "From Brendan Eich to Donald Sterling to Bob Eschliman to David and Jason Benham, people are saying, “No, you cannot treat our fellow Americans that way any longer.” It doesn’t matter if it’s racism or homophobia or misogyny or any one of a number of hate-based beliefs. Americans have had enough." Whether I agree or disagree with Eschliman is irrelevant, though I will go on the record and make it clear that I oppose re-writes of the Bible. The Bible is not subject to re-writes, though, when something is re-written it is not really The Bible any more anyway. June 24, 2010: The Peoples View: A Response to David Badash on Obama and Gay Rights
Some interesting things are going on in the gay rights movement of late. Just like a lot of self-proclaimed 'progressive' groups have made it a mission to bash the President - who in my judgment is the best friend progressives have ever had in the White House - some gay rights advocates have jumped on the same bandwagon.

July 28, 2009: Examiner: Sexy Politics: David Badash on 'The Great Nationwide Kiss-In' planned for August 15
I'll be reporting more about (and participating in) The Great Nationwide Kiss-In as its August 15 date gets closer and I urge all of my readers – regardless of sexual orientation – to join in, but for the moment I want to take this opportunity to repost, in full, something the event's co-founder David Badash wrote today for TheNewCivilRightsMovement.com, as well as the first video promoting the event. It's a message that I believe should be spread far and wide:
