Feb 26, 2014: White House Dossier: Achooo!
Eddie Scarry notes over at The Blaze blog that Obama fails egregiously to employ the accepted protocol for preventing disease dissemination, the sneeze in the sleeve technique. Feb 24, 2014: CPRC: CPRC on Piers Morgan’s cancelation at CNN
Quite amusingly, Piers’ Representative respond to Eddie Scarry about Lott’s op-ed at National Review this way: Feb 14, 2014: Daily Kos: Is comparing Chris Christie to Tony Soprano stereotyping Italians and insensitive to mafiosos?
If any stereotyping is going on it is about Republicans, and as Glenn Beck and Eddie Scary very well know, this is considered perfectly O.K. in modern media |

ON THE RECORD: Jan 17, 2014: Eddie Scarry (The Blaze) observes "Media Matters, ad space you can’t buy": "Of the seven top-placed blog posts on the liberal Media Matters website Monday, 100 percent of them are related to the new unauthorized biography on Fox News CEO Roger Ailes, “The Loudest Voice in the Room.” And each post links to the book’s Amazon page, where it’s on sale. That’s the type of promotion that doesn’t come with a price tag."

I’ve also loved my coworkers – CNN’s Matt Dornic, who hired me (what were you thinking?), The Bill Press Show’s Executive Producer Peter Ogburn (a funny writer who taught me how to cuss unabashedly) and TheBlaze’s Eddie Scarry (who has one of the keenest eyes for observation I know). A funny Eddie story: At some point I corrected him on a bunch of things and he wrote back, “I have deposited the information into my brain.” Who says that to their editor?

Aug 16, 2013: Breitbart: Sen. Inhofe: White House and OFA Appear to Be Coordinating Environmental Messages
In the letter sent to Sutley, highlighted Thursday by Eddie Scarry at the Blaze, Sen. Inhofe writes: Over the past several days, a number of news reports have noted your participation, together with other administration officials and Members of Congress, in environmental advocacy events that are taking place in Providence, Rhode Island and Hartford, Connecticut. It appears these events, coordinated by the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ), have coincidentally fallen in conjunction with the Obama political apparatus, Organizing for Action's (OFA) massive campaign this week against sitting Members of Congress whose views on climate change oppose those of the President.

One need not look any further than the Wonkette website to find example after example of what NOT to do in journalism. -This headline PR Woes: When Access Isn’t Worth It on a recent post on Media Bistro’s Fishbowl DC was too compelling to resist. Mar 1, 2012: TBD: Andrew Breitbart's death is all about me!
"Last summer I was still fairly new to Washington, D.C., but it’s when I met Andrew Breitbart," recalls Eddie Scarry, the FishbowlDC contributor, in the Blaze. "It was at the book launch party for his new book 'Righteous Indignation: Excuse Me While I Save the World.'" The point of this post, "Brief encounter with Breitbart," seems to be merely that Breitbart signed Scarry's copy of the book with the encouraging words, "Eddie, fight the man!"

The site also posted a story featuring the White House’s denial, and yet a third story by Eddie Scarry that seems to be about Scarry’s reluctance to click on the links in Baker’s story, for fear of offending his fellow cafe-dwellers. In a case of textbook oversharing, Scarry says “I think I‘ll save the story for when I’m home. Even if it means spending the rest of my evening with images of the first lady purchasing a ‘playsuit’ running through my head.”
