Jan 12, 2023: Variety: Chris Jansing Adds Hours in MSNBC Daytime Shakeup as Hallie Jackson Expands Streaming (EXCLUSIVE)
MSNBC is expanding Chris Jansing’s afternoon perch to two hours from one as the Washington D.C-based Hallie Jackson, who also anchors a late-afternoon program on NBC News Now, leaves the cable outlet to focus on the streaming work. Meanwhile, weekend host Jonathan Capehart, who has held forth on Sundays, will now do an hour on both Saturday and Sunday. All the moves come as NBCUniversal’s new operations refine their efforts under a reorganization unveiled Wednesday.

“We’re just not tracking that,” she said, before cracking up reporters by saying, “If I had a, what’s it called? A little globe here, a crystal ball, then I can tell you, a Magic 8 Ball, whatever. If I could feel her aura. I just don’t have anything to share on that.” 3.6.23 |

Aug 29, 2022: New York Post: Don’t believe your eyes: WH claims migrants are not just ‘walking’ across border
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre insisted on Monday that migrants are not just “walking” across the border — an event captured near daily by press photographers.
The stunning answer came in response to a question by Fox News’ Peter Doocy, who asked why potentially unvaccinated migrants continue to arrive in the US but tennis star Novak Djokovic couldn’t compete in the US Open, which kicked off in Flushing Meadows, Queens today.
“It is not that simple. It’s not just that people are walking across the border. We have a plan in place. This is not like switching the lights on. This is going to take a process,” Jean-Pierre said about the thousands of migrants that are crossing into the US every week as she pivoted to criticize the former administration’s immigration policies.

Jan 18, 2023: New York Post: White House press corps rips ‘information blackout’ over Biden’s handling of classified docs
CBS reporter Weijia Jiang pressed Jean-Pierre Tuesday on how the investigation could possibly be independent when Biden and his aides are acting as the investigators searching out records. “You’ve repeatedly emphasized the need, just as you did today, for independence, for integrity of the Department of Justice investigation,” Jiang said. “One reason why you continue to point us to the DOJ. So I wonder why, then, did the White House counsel go to Wilmington to facilitate the handing over of documents to the DOJ? How is that separating the White House from the DOJ?”
“I know there’s going to continue to be dozens of more questions, probably, today,” Jean-Pierre replied. “And I will say: Reach out to the White House Counsel’s Office. That’s one of the reasons my colleague was on the phone with many of you, taking questions today. And I’m just going to leave it there. That is something for them to answer.”

"But do you think staying in your silo and only listening to people you agree with is going to make that person go away?" |
