Actually, even before I wrote my post last Friday I had read an article in the Washington Post by Jia Lynn Yang, titled “Why Cantor’s loss is especially bad news for big business,” detailing Brat’s campaign and challenging the presumption that he won mainly on a standard-issue far-right anti-immigration, Cantor-is-too-liberal-for-the-Tea-Party platform.
