ON THE RECORD: May 22, 2014: Kat Callahan (Jezebel) doesn't think very highly of the people of Mississippi. She writes
"when it comes to being behind the times, Mississippi is further back than... Well, everyone else."
she writes that
"It's easy to take potshots at Mississippi. It's really easy."
So, of course, if that is so, then being an intelligent journalist, she would not waste her time writing about it and would instead choose a topic that's more of a challenge. But, no she doesn't. And instead does something that must be so "easy" for her. She writes about Mississippi:
" This is, after all, the state that continues, be it for pride or prejudice, to retain a state flag which since 1894 has prominently displayed the Stars and Bars battle flag of the slavery defending Confederate States of America, soundly refusing in 2001 to change the flag."
So, in short, Mississipians are racist. And she writes:
"This is the state which has the lowest median income and the highest rate of poverty in the United States."
