Oct 11, 2014: Political Habitat: Can We Be Seen? Women Coverage In Sports and Politics
Katherine Fung states in a Huffington Post article called Women are still Drastically Underrepresented In The News Business, “One exception was Melissa Harris-Perry’s MSNBC show: only 27 percent of the show’s guests in 2013 were white men, while 66 percent were not white.”

ON THE RECORD: May 12, 2014: The Huffington Post's Katherine Fung (again) continues to clarify the progressive adage "If I don't Support them-mock them" and fired out an article stating "Ann Coulter's Attempt To Make Fun Of #BringBackOurGirls Goes Beautifully Wrong." Fung quips about how Ann Coulter's attempt to make fun of Michelle Obama's "#BringBackOurGirls" went wrong. She also posted several of the Ann Coulter parodies which you can see through the link to her article above. What Fung purposely omitted was the fact that Michelle Obama's "campaign" had already inspired far more parodies already. A few are posted below, beginning with Michelle Obama's original: READ MORE on Z-News Blog: The Huff-Lefttington Post (again)

ON THE RECORD: Jan 17, 2014: The Huffington Post's Katherine Fung reported about an interview Sarah Palin had with Mario Lopez in which she took a few swipes at Katie Couric. ("Sarah Palin: Katie Couric's Show Ending 'Didn't Surprise Me'"): "When "Extra"'s Mario Lopez asked Palin if she believes in karma, she replied, "I certainly believe that what goes around comes around." She said that friends mentioned the end of Couric's daytime show to her, recalling, “I remember getting a couple of texts that said things like, ‘Oh, sorry that it didn’t work out there at CBS or ABC.'" Palin also sounded off on Couric's ratings. "The ratings were going in the tank with her as one of the head honchos there in the newsroom at CBS and then it didn’t surprise me, her other move," she said. "Things weren’t going real well there, either." Couric made about $20 million a year for her two years so I really dont think ending it so quickly was such a bad deal for her.

Apr 6, 2014:MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry called out the governor of Mississippi on Saturday for signing legislation that may protect business owners' ability to discriminate against LGBT customers.
The MSNBC host said that LGBT rights have already been under assault in Mississippi. Same-sex marriage is illegal there, and gay people can be legally fired or not hired due to their sexual orientation. Mississippi is also one of 29 states in the country where LGBT people can be evicted on the basis of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
"What you did was to make it even easier than it already was to discriminate against LGBT Mississippians, to deny them services available to everyone else," said Harris-Perry. "Basically, you gave bigots another avenue to dehumanize their LGBT neighbors."
