Jan 5, 2014: Tonight Libby Sternberg posted an article on "Liberty Unyielding" titles simply "Fire Melissa Harris-Perry." Sternberg posted this after Harris-Perry's tearful apology and Mitt Romney saying he accepted her apology because it was "heartfelt." Sternberg writes: "Two things are wrong with this apology acceptance, though. First, as I stated above, MSNBC has a history of hosts saying outrageously offensive things, and a few of them have been fired for it. It seems that Harris-Perry’s performance surpasses the errors of a Baldwin and Bashir because, as I pointed out above, she targeted an innocent child." I have to disagree. Alec Baldwin and Martin Bashir's comments were both intentionally malicious. Harris-Perry and her panelists made poor judgment, but the child was not the direct target. The intent was making light of Mitt Romney and Republicans. So, I still have to say: Leave Milissa Harris-Perry alone. There are far more important battles to fight.
