Via Bruce Bartlett’s FB feed I see that Peter Brimelow, founder of VDARE (an anti-immigration foundation and web site) is looking to raise some end-of-year funds, and in so doing, calls out Ron Paul over his newsletters.

Peter Brimelow flatters me with so much kind attention at VDARE, his White Nationalist website: Gjermani (contact her), who describes herself as “an Albanian expatriate of Jewish descent living in Manhattan”, recently posted a very conventional blog in Commentary Magazine, full of the usual paranoid nonsense about Arizona’s SB1070. …He even links to my blog and encourages his readers to write to me. And they do! Here are a couple of e-letters I recently had the pleasure to receive: From: William <woleary717@aol.com> Subject: your globalist, Marxist, anti-Western Civilization Get out of my country and any other White-Christian countries, you Christophobe ingrate ! No other civilization does 1/1000th of the charitible works of the Western Countries when contrasted with any other non-Western country/culture, why? They are not White or non-Christian or both! Write to the Turkish government about Israeli hospitality to humanitarian aid care givers or any other non-Jewish people since it's inception in 1949 A.D. with the help of all the White-Christian countries, then, through the present. you hypocritical critic ! |
VDARE.COM was established in 1999 in connection with the Center for American Unity, a Virginia based non-profit foundation started by Peter Brimelow. Brimelow served as the Center's first president but is no longer affiliated with the organization. When Brimelow left, he established the VDARE foundation in 2007, also known as Lexington Research Institute Limited, as a 501(c)3 charity to continue supporting VDARE.COM. The name VDARE and the site's logo, the head of a white doe, refer to Virginia Dare, the first child born to English settlers in the New World; soon after her birth she disappeared with the rest of the early English settlement of Roanoke. In fiction, Virginia Dare was the main character in Sallie Southall Cotten's 1901 book The White Doe: The Fate of Virginia Dare. In the book, she is turned into a white doe by a Native American witch doctor after she rejects his advances.
