ON THE RECORD: Apr 1, 2014: About a week ago, Major Garrett, writing for the National Journal, wrote "The numbers are still coming in on the Affordable Care Act, and that will continue for years." And then within just a couple of paragraphs wrote " Even so, 7.1 million enrollees is a milestone. It doesn’t guarantee the law will work, and it doesn’t ensure premiums won’t rise or doctors and nurses will be available to provide the care promised by the insurance acquired." So is he saying that the ACA will continue for years even as a failure? Garrett couldn't be making himself more clear as an Obamacare groupee as he applauds an event that isn't guaranteed to work (his own words) as he writes: "What is so remarkable about an administration, with three years to plan, attaining the agreed-upon goal of enrolling 7 million Americans?" He then implied the 7.1 million number was one that "Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius embraced in congressional testimony" but doesnt mention that she also unembraced it after it looked like they were not going to make the goal and claimed the number came from the Congressional Budget Office. Throughout the article Garrett reacts as though he was nominated head cheerleader for Team Obama on health care. And...may be he was or self designated himself to be even in spite of the fact the law might not work. (SOURCE: Major Garrett: National Journal "White House Masked Fears of Obamacare Collapse")
