June 11, 2014: Minnesota Conservatives: Sheila Kihne & Republican Incumbent Entitlement
Even Sally Jo Sorensen, who blogs at Bluestem Prairie (Minnesota's best blog in my envious opinion) pretty much treated it as such when she wrote about Lucero encouraging his supporters to donate to Kihne Jan 27, 2014: Mercury Rising: Bluestem Prairie: Where You Can Read Next Fortnight’s City Pages News Today
On January 14, 2014, Sally Jo Sorensen did a post on the hypocrisy of one Stewart Mills III, of the Mills Fleet Farm family, currently running as a Republican against Rick Nolan in Minnesota’s Eighth Congressional District — and she provided detailed proof, discovered by her, that Mills’ anti-Cash-for-Clunkers attitude is of extremely recent origi Jan 22, 2014: Developers Are Crabgrass: Bluestem Prairie and Gary Gross both write of Nelson v. Franson, an inner party top dog contest over a single legislative seat.
Sorensen, here, linking to Gross, here. Clearly, in Gary's comment thread the answer is Nelson believes she'd do a better job than Franson and that's her cause for the challenge. Not that such a belief constitutes too high a self image, given where the bar has been set. ![]() ON THE RECORD: Feb 2, 2014: Bluestem Prairie comes down hard on an article from Bradlee Dean posted at WND: "Front paged at WND: Bradlee Dean declares Justin Bieber a "real legislator" with model bill for a minor" The author is unidentified, though the blog is is owned and edited by Sally Jo Sorensen, so my assumption is that it is the same, But, the author makes their position about dean right away: "It's been a while since we checked in with Annandale MN's toxic Christian metal rocker Bradlee Dean, fresh off a tour of Tea Party clubs in California. " Dean' s message, in summary, was: "What is little Justin’s message? His message is do as I do! Go and hang out at strip clubs with your daddy, drink and drive if you want to, disrespect authorities, smoke dope (actually the dope smokes you), fornicate (sex before marriage), and in turn, I ask, what do those who follow little Justin do? ." In response, Bluestem says they "must have missed this legislative agenda amid the calls to deport Bieber back to his native Canada." Bluestem suggests that Dean misses the message: "Dean seems to have gotten Bieber's appeal bassackward. Huffington Post reports on Wednesday Most Americans Ready To Deport Justin Bieber (If He's Convicted)." Personally, I think they are both right, and both speaking from their own political and/or bias perspective. And I dont say that to suggest it's a bad thing but a human thing. Dean views it from hard right and sees it as the result of a culrural phenomenon and likely bases it on the extreme fascination by youth to Bieber. Bieber has had a large following and fan base for several years. Bluestem views it from a hard left position and what might be an already prejudged dislike for Dean. Bluestem bases it on the vitriol tossed against Bieber in pop media and the relatively quick response by people in support of deporting Bieber via a petition. I don't think either argument wins in shaping the destiny of Justin Bieber. Unless another show drops on him I dont think he is losing or winning at this point. At this point, with what he has done so far musically, I think he is just a fad that will pass.
