VITRIOL ON THE RECORD: Apr 4, 2014; Slate has officially become the armpit of the internet. If you are a fan of vitriol, thuggery, crudeness, obnoxiousness, and a long list of other negatives, then Slate is the place to be. Just a sampling of today's articles are:
Jamelle Bouie says black Americans cant succeed because of "housing discrimination" and "poverty" which basically means "White people" (Down and Out) Amanda Hess has already decided that David Letterman's replacement will likely be a white guy (Go Ahead, Give David Letterman's Gig to Another White Guy) William Saletan encourages people to destroy the lives of at least 435 people because they don't support gay marriage and , hence, should be unemployed (Purge the Bigots) Mark Joseph Stern tells us that anyone (like the majority of California Voters) were "cruel: for supporting the "cruel" campaign (Just a Reminder: The Campaign for Prop 8 Was Unprecedentedly Cruel) Amy S.F. Lutz applauds electrified autistic kids for their health (Why I Got Electroconvulsive Therapy for My Autistic Son) Bryan Lowder applauds Honey Maid for making a gay graham cracker commercial and implies if you are a company that hasn't made a gay commercial you must be a homophobe. ON THE RECORD: Apr 4, 2014: Slate continues it's inquisition and witch hunts of any one who opposes what they believe with an article by William Saletan ("Purge the Bigots "). After the resignation of Mozilla CEO Brendan Eich, Slate applauds the ruination of a person right to live and work by suggesting that they go after some more. Saletan writes: "Thirty-seven companies in the database are linked to more than 1,300 employees who gave nearly $1 million in combined contributions to the campaign for Prop 8. Twenty-five tech companies are linked to 435 employees who gave more than $300,000. Many of these employees gave $1,000 apiece, if not more. Some, like Eich, are probably senior executives.Why do these bigots still have jobs? Let’s go get them." The left driven witch hunt continues. It won't be long before they are burning them at the stake.
